Rule the Roost

This design was very much inspired by the famous sex pistols poster for the single 'God Save the Queen', causing much controversy at the time.

I chose the cockerel as the main feature and gave him a multi-coloured mohican comb with that everlasting punk symbol, the safety pin. He looks decidedly unfriendly but very emporer-like nontheless.

The Union Jack image behind again in a subversion of the original where I have distressed the clean edges and used purple and orange in place of the red and blue. For the wording, I used a similar effect of ripped paper in various fonts in keeping with that of the original design.

All in all, it is meant to be a light-hearted take on the sex pistols version.
